Lou Pickney's 2025 NFL Mock Draft
All indications at this point suggest that Ward will be the first player selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, with the Titans looking unlikely to trade down at this point.
The big question for wherever Hunter ends up is: how will he be utilized? It can't be stressed enough how unusual it is for one person to be both the top wide receiver and top cornerback prospect in the same draft, which is how some evaluators see it with Hunter.
Carter is an elite pass-rushing talent who stands out despite this draft being loaded with quality EDGE prospects.
Campbell is a great mix of size, athleticism, and technical prowess and is expected to be the first offensive lineman selected on opening night.
Graham is an elite defensive tackle with the ability to effectively collapse pockets on passing plays.
Jeanty is great at carrying the ball, but he wouldn't be a realistic projection in this range if he weren't also such an adept receiver.
Evaluators rave about Membou's pass blocking ability, which has proven impressive enough to earn him serious top ten consideration despite lacking prototypical height.
If Walker is drafted this high, it will be because of his superb pass-rushing skill and versatility.
Part of the appeal of Williams as a prospect is his ability to fit multiple schemes effectively.
Warren set school records at Penn State for tight end receptions/yardage and won the 2024 John Mackey Award, given annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football.
Banks is a tremendous pass blocker. The bulk of the late chatter for this spot seems to surround offensive or defensive line needs for the 49ers.
Evaluators have praised McMillan's catch radius and ability to adjust on the fly to get open.
Johnson is an elite cornerback prospect. Offensive line will likely also be a consideration here for the Dolphins.
Tight end is a major need for the Colts. The success that Raiders TE Brock Bowers had as a rookie last season (112 receptions for 1,194 yards) clearly has had an impact on the decision-making process for some teams.
This anticipates a trade-back by the Falcons. You'd imagine there would be demand for this pick given the predicted runs on wide receivers and EDGE prospects likely to begin in this range.
Simmons suffered a serious knee injury in 2024, but he's expected to be ready for the 2025 season.
If the Bengals hope to land an EDGE at this spot, they should have several viable options from which to choose.
There's too much buzz here for me to ignore. Talk of Zabel as a first-rounder has been around for some time, going back to his strong showing during Senior Bowl week.
This is a stacked draft for pass rushers. Green has been rising up boards and helped his stock with a strong showing in practice at the Senior Bowl.
Whispers about Hampton as a first-rounder have been going around for some time. If he's available here, Hampton would fit a need for the Broncos.
Those in the know seem to believe it will be Sanders here if he's still on the board. If not, the expectation is defensive tackle.
Harmon gained national attention thanks to his outstanding play at defensive tackle for the Ducks, showing a knack for pressuring opposing QBs.
A blazing-fast corner like Barron would be a beneficial addition to any secondary. EDGE and wide receiver are also needs for the Packers that could potentially be addressed here.
You have to go back to Terrell Edmunds (217 pounds) in 2018 for the last time a pure safety weighing north of 215 pounds went in the first round. It used to be more commonplace, but the sport has changed.
It's different for Emmanwori because he's exceptionally fast. How many guys with his height/weight (6'3" 220) can run a 4.38 40-yard dash?
By running a 4.29 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Golden put himself in serious consideration to be a first-round draft selection. There's an insatiable demand for prospects with ultra high-end speed.
It was clear that Egbuka impressed onlookers at Ohio State's pro day. There would be an obvious fit for Egbuka in the Rams offense in the role previously filled by Cooper Kupp.
This should be a good spot for the Ravens given their top perceived team needs and talent expected to still be on the board. Other possibilities include Georgia S Malaki Starks and several EDGE prospects.
Pearce is an elite blitzer and is well-rounded against the run. He's also effective at dropping into pass coverage when needed.
Ezeiruaku collected a jaw-dropping 16.5 sacks in 2024, tying a school record. There's also a perception among some evaluators that Ezeiruaku is more well-polished than other comparable prospects at the position.
By running a blistering 4.28 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Hairston vaulted himself into serious first-round consideration. It helps that Hairston has the versatility to fit a variety of defensive schemes.
Kansas City could use help on its offensive line. There's a good mix of perceived value and team need here with Conerly.
Congrats on the Super Bowl win, Eagles fans.
Nolen has the effort/intensity to match his talent, and if he's able to improve his pass-rushing technique his potential as a pro is strong.
